Comedian Joan Rivers caught a reporter by surprise on Tuesday with a very matter-of-fact statement that First Lady Michelle Obama “is a tranny,” which, she says, makes Barack Obama the first gay president.
Rivers, 81, who officiated a same-sex couple’s impromptu wedding at book signing event earlier this week, was asked by a reporter what she thought the likelihood of the U.S. having either a woman or a gay president in the near future.
“We already have that with Obama. You know Michelle is a tranny,” she said.
