The former executive director of the South Carolina Republican Party, says transgender people are “disgusting freaks” and should be rounded up and “put in a camp.”
Todd Kincannon began the Twitter tirade earlier this week in response to transgender activist Kat Haché, who replied to one of Kincannon’s tweets on an unrelated topic.
Using transphobic slurs, Kincannon wrote that he thought transgender people “should all be put in a camp” because they are all “disgusting freaks.”

.@papierhache There are people who respect transgender rights. And there are people who think you should all be put in a camp. That's me.

.@jbu3 I have plenty of compassion for trannies. They should all be locked up in mental institutions and their care paid for by the state.

I'm totally ok with gays and I celebrate female bisexuality as if it were the Mona Lisa of genital sports. But transsexuals are sick freaks.

This is not the first time Kincannon has posted transphobic remarks. Earlier this month, he posted these tweets:
The only things I hate these days are commies, trannies, and most Muslims.

.@The_Illiterati I have no problem with gays but I hate trannies. I think they are disgusting freaks, and they are. Am I evil?

Kincannon claims he was attempting to open a debate on the issue.
The Republican Party in South Carolina has in the past distanced itself from Kincannon, saying that he only served as leader for three months.
