Husband of Facebook co-founder announces bid for U.S. House

Sean Eldridge, a former political strategist for Freedom to Marry and husband to Chris Hughes, Facebook co-founder and owner of The New Republic, has announced his candidacy for U.S. Congress to represent New York’s 19th congressional district in the U.S. House.

Eldridge made his announcement via Twitter and YouTube during Sunday night’s Emmy Awards:
