Man sentenced in death of 2-year-old daughter he tried to turn gay

FLINT, Mich. -- A Michigan man has been sentenced to more than 18 years in prison for biting and beating his two-year-old daughter to death in what officials said was an attempt to make her gay. Donovan Haynes, 23, was sentenced Monday to roughly 18 to 40 years in prison after pleading no contest to second-degree murder of his daughter, Ti'Airra Woodward, in July 2011.

Quamar Edwards was arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of 28-year-old Tiffany Edwards, 28, whose body was discovered by a sanitation worker on a Cincinnati street last week.

Police say murdered Philadelphia man met his killer on Grindr

CHESTER, Pa. -- Police are investigating the murder of a Philadelphia man they say met his killer using the gay hook-up app Grindr. Dino Dizdarevic, a 25-year-old chemical engineer, was found by a passerby at the bottom of a fire escape in an overgrown lot in Chester, Pa. Police say he has been beaten and strangled to death.
