MANCHESTER, United Kingdom — Roger Crouch, the father of a 15-year-old boy who killed himself in May 2010 after apparently suffering from anti-gay bullying, and who then turned tragedy into a campaign for greater awareness and prevention of bulling in Britain’s schools, has died.

Student Non-Discrimination Act needed to protect LGBT students from bullying
It’s essential that the Student Non Discrimination Act becomes part of Elementary and Secondary Education re-Authorization Act (ESEA) when it comes for vote in the Senate. It will expand the protection from bullying based on: religion, sex, national origin and disabilities to include protection for sexual orientation and gender identity for LGBT students.

Michigan House strips exceptions from anti-bullying bill, sends it back to Senate
LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan House of Representative this week passed its own version of the anti-bullying bill, removing the controversial language inserted by Senate Republicans that allowed for exceptions to the law for “a sincerely held religious belief or moral conviction.”
