Police had to escort a gay man to his car as protestors shouted at him: “Leave our kids alone.”

His mom baked a pan of brownies that she claimed included “a little bit of dog poo” when he was a kid to explain what happens if you expose yourself to harmful ideas in books.

A rightwing activist called the police to get the books removed, but the district downplayed their removal: “We’ve not had a book burning or anything.”

“Join us in California, where we still believe in freedom: freedom of speech, freedom to choose, freedom from hate and the freedom to love.”

While the Township Council voted unanimously to repeal the forgotten law, they discovered another one they cannot strike down.
