Donald Trump promised to turn the November elections into a “Christian Visibility Day” in direct response to the Trans Day of Visibility.

The right has been outraged by the fact that the Transgender Day of Visibility – which is always on March 31 – fell on Western Christianity’s Easter day this past Sunday, and many blamed President Joe Biden for the coincidence. It’s unclear, though, why the coincidence is disrespectful to Christians, especially since many transgender people are themselves Christian.
“As a Christian who celebrates Easter with family, President Biden stands for bringing people together and upholding the dignity and freedoms of every American,” the White House said in a statement. “Sadly, it’s unsurprising politicians are seeking to divide and weaken our country with cruel, hateful, and dishonest rhetoric.”
Axios notes that Trump has been trying to make more inroads with religious voters. He recently started selling Bibles for $60.
“We must make America pray again,” he said at the rally.
