The Arizona-based gay couple behind the YouTube channel “Two Gay Grandpas Travel” is giving us the warm and fuzzy holiday feels with their recent seasonal message.
“Grandpa Scott” and “Grandpa Bobby” have been posting videos of their adventures around the world since May 2022. They’ve shared clips of their trips to Pompeii, Venice, Canada’s Athabasca Glacier, and other destinations both abroad and closer to their home in the Southwest.

But it wasn’t until fairly recently that a wider audience discovered their undeniable charm. As the pair explained in the first of two special holiday videos, back in November a fellow YouTuber who posts as JaqxTV (@RealJaqx) discovered their channel and posted a clip encouraging more people to check out their delightful content.
Since then, Scott and Bobby have accumulated “thousands” of new followers. Their channel now boasts over 60,000 subscribers and for that, the grandpas expressed their sincere gratitude in a video from their home.
“We’re blowing up the internet!” Bobby joked. “The ol’ two old farts are blowing up the internet.”
“About time!” Scott added good-naturedly.
The couple shared how moved they have been by the flood of comments from new fans, particularly those who have either lost or are no longer close to their own grandparents. “We’ll be your own online grandparents for you!” Bobby shared.
While the grandpas are home for the holidays, they treated viewers to a tour of the six Christmas trees — one for each of their real-life grandchildren — they put up around their house every year. One is even decorated with ornaments they’ve collected on their well-documented travels.
“Being two older gay guys, we wondered how relevant we were to the internet, and you guys have welcomed us into your hearts. So, we’re happy to welcome you into our home,” Bobby says in the video.
The clip, which currently has 51,000 views, resulted in a wave of offers from fans to make ornaments for the couple’s trees. In a second holiday message, Scott and Bobby encouraged viewers instead to donate to local food banks in their own communities or volunteer their time at senior centers, or to just visit with local seniors who might be experiencing loneliness or isolation during the holidays.
“We’re supported by so many family and friends, but there are a lot of seniors who don’t have that support system and would really benefit by just a kind little gesture,” Bobby explained. “Do it in honor of your grandparents and that will be plenty of ornamentation for us.”
