Right-wingers are freaking out that Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, Grok, is refusing to spout anti-trans views.
On Sunday, conservative commentator Tim Pool tagged Musk – who is notoriously anti-trans – on X and wrote, “your Grok is broken,” adding a screenshot of a conversation between Pool and Grok in which Pool asked, “are trans women male.” Grok, which was created to be “anti-woke,” replied simply, “No.”

Alex Jones is back on social media. Here are 5 times he demonized the LGBTQ+ community.
Queerphobia on X is about to reach ridiculous new heights thanks to Jones and Elon Musk.
Pool was clearly upset by Grok’s assertion, as he posted several times on X ranting about it.

In another screenshot, he asked Grok the same question, to which the chatbot answered, “Trans women are individuals who were assigned male at birth but identify as female. The concept of gender is complex and multifaceted, encompassing one’s personal identity, social expression, and physical characteristics. It’s important to respect the identities of trans women and use their preferred pronouns.”
Pool wrote of the answer: “Grok is woke and it’s answer falls perfectly into the meme of leftists trying to over explain to justify nonsense.”
He complained in yet another post, “If I need a fact answered, claiming you refuse because you want to be respectful to someone who isn’t party to the conversation makes no sense and is a hindrance.”
Pool’s series of posts also included his repeated attempts to manipulate Grok into answering how he wanted.
Other right-wingers joined Pool in their outrage and have become determined to change Grok’s answers.
Chaya Raichik, who runs the viciously anti-LGBTQ+ account LibsofTikTok, also freaked out on X this week after trans advocate and Harvard Law Cyberlaw Clinic instructor Alejandra Caraballo posted that “Grok says Libs of TikTok incites bomb threats.”
She then posted a screenshot of her asking Grok whether Raichik’s account indeed incites bomb threats, along with Grok’s response that stated Libs of TikTok “has been accused of promoting anti-LGBTQ+ hate and inciting bomb threats.”
The post led Raichik to post a screenshot of a conversation with Grok in which the bot answered “yes” when asked if Carabello was a man and “yes” when asked if Raichik was a woman. But the person who asked Grok the question used the name “Alejandro” rather than “Alejandra,” rendering Grok’s answer moot since they needed to spell her name wrong to get the answer they wanted.
Raichik then continued to misgender Carabello. “Grok correctly says Alejandro Caraballo is a man,” she wrote. “The reason he attacks me endlessly like accusing me of b*mb threats is because he’s jealous. I have the one thing he do [sic] desperately wants but will never achieve. I’m a woman.”
Raichik then posted from her personal account that Caraballo is “desperate to be a woman” but “will always be a male no matter what he does to his body.”
But Caraballo didn’t let Raichik see her sweat, posting a screenshot of the attacks and writing, “She’s so triggered.”
Caraballo also commented on the post from Right Wing Watch mocking the right-wing meltdowns, writing, “Watching them have a breakdown over a woke grok is hilarious.”
