We’re getting close to September, the month when LGBTQ Nation honors the heroes helping the community live authentically and with dignity through this particularly hard year.
Next month, the editors of LGBTQ Nation will nominate LGBTQ+ people and close allies across nine categories as LGBTQ Nation’s 2023 Heroes. But we also want to honor people who haven’t made national headlines, people whose work to make their communities a better place may have gone unnoticed.
That’s where you come in. We’re asking LGBTQ Nation readers to think of the LGBTQ+ heroes in their lives. Who inspires you to be better? Who is improving your community? Tell us about them, and we’ll profile them next month on the site.
If you know someone who should be recognized, fill out this nomination form by August 30, 2023. We’ll announce the winners in late September with profiles on the good work they’re doing.
