For her leadership role in the January 6 Insurrection

Jessica Watkins was convicted on charges of conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding and interfering with police for her role in organizing the Oath Keepers - a militia - for the attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election and install Donald Trump as president for four more years.

Prosecutors said that she helped organize training for insurrectionists and telling them to bring weapons. At the Capitol, she tried to get a group of Oath Keepers to the Senate chamber to attack Mike Pence as he ceremonially received each state's electoral votes.

She got 8.5 years in prison for her role.

Georgia

The injunction blocks the part of the law banning HRT from going into effect, while the ban on gender-affirming surgery still stands (though trans minors almost never receive gender-affirming surgery anyway). It came as the result of a lawsuit filed by the parents of four transgender girls, with the help of the Human Rights Campaign, the ACLU, and the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Kid Rock

Conservatives have been boycotting Bud Light since April, when the beer brand sponsored a 50-second Instagram video made by trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney. The boycott really kicked off when Kid Rock shot up cases of Bud Light to show how much he hated the beer for working with a trans person.

But when he didn't think any cameras were on him, he was caught enjoying a Bud Light at a Colt Ford concert in Tennessee.

Sha’Carri Richardson

Bisexual American sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson recently won the 100-meter world championship in Budapest, making her the fastest woman in the international competitive sport.

In a press conference, Richardson told reporters, “In previous interviews, I mentioned that I’m not back, I’m better. I’m going to stay humble, I’m not back, I’m better and I’m going to continue to be better.”

Zara Larsson

Ryan Crouse posted a video to his 1.5 million followers joking that Larsson once pulled him onstage at a concert but then pushed him off and called him a “flaming f**king f*g.” Crouse’s false claims of homophobia join a years-long series of similar gags against celebrities, most notably Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown.

Larrson made a video in response, saying, “I don’t want to be negative Nancy… but at the end of the day it’s like what’s so funny about this?... It just makes me sad, and it just hurts me because that is just so far from my character and what I would do.”

Podcaster Tim Pool

Pool suggested that God was mad that the LA Dodgers honored the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence - drag nuns who raise money for charity - at their Pride Night back in June, so God sent Hurricane Hilary to decimate the west coasts of the U.S. and Mexico and kill five people.

“I just gotta tell you, ya know, a month-and-a-half or two months after they do this drag nun thing, a city that never gets hit by hurricanes, gets hit by an earthquake and a hurricane!” Pool bellowed. “And I’m kinda just like, ooooohhhhh.”

He did not explain why an omniscient and omnipotent god would need two months to respond.

United States Agency for International Development (USAID)

Gaetz's bill would end USAID, which administers U.S. foreign and development aid, over some small grants to benefit women and LGBTQ+ people. The bill accuses the agency of a "perverse ideology" for working for everyone's human rights.

“American taxpayer dollars are being wasted to fund radical leftist propaganda in foreign countries,” Gaetz said. “USAID does not serve a meaningful purpose. It is used as a slush fund for international wokeism. Therefore, serious lawmakers in Congress should support its complete abolition.”

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC)

During Wednesday night's debate, Sen. Tim Scott (SC) said in his closing statement, “I had the good fortune to have a mom who worked 16-hour days making sure we have food on our tables. She taught me that… if God made you a man, you play sports against men.”

Earlier in the debate, both Burgum and Haley admitted that school children are facing much bigger issues than trans kids playing sports.

Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper repeated numerous right-wing anti-trans talking points during his recent interview with Stereogum.

He referred to trans identities as a "fad," said it's "confusing" to kids, claimed that kids are being told that they can identify as a cat, and said that trans-inclusive bathroom policies threaten the safety of women and kids.

Ron DeSantis

A clip of DeSantis trying (and failing) to smile like a normal human while the crowd applauds had the Internet in hysterics, with many likening him to a robot, an alien, or a “lizard in a skin suit.”
