GOP official protests trans rights by displaying 16-foot penis sign in front of children

Conservative activist and Virginia GOP Central Committee Representative Ron Hedlund of Virginia got attention online over the weekend for his 16-foot penis sign with President Joe Biden’s face, which he displayed in front of a group of children. He had to be told by police to put the sign away. On social media, Hedlund – who goes by “The Benghazi Rabbit” – said that the point of the protest was to fight “transgenderism” in schools, a term conservatives use to refer to equal rights for transgender students and anti-bullying initiatives.

Hedlund’s sign – which he calls the “Porter Penis” – read “S**T IS F**KED UP AND STUFF/BIDEN SUCKS” and had Biden’s face on a 16-foot penis with semen shooting out that was labeled “My kids.” It was displayed at the RF&P Park in Henrico County, Virginia this past Friday just outside where some children were playing a baseball game. He also had a giant “air dancer” with the words “F**K BIDEN” written on it and another sign that read “STOP GROOMING OUR CHILDREN.”

In a video posted to YouTube, a man approached him at the parking lot and asked him to take down his sign because “It’s a kids’ baseball game.”

“They love it!” Hedlund said, defending the penis sign. “They absolutely love it!”

Hedlund then called the man “soft” – probably a penis reference – and then shouted about the First Amendment.

Another man asked him to take down the sign, telling him there were 13-year-old children around, and Hedlund posted a video of him to YouTube calling him an “ED ADULT,” referring to erectile dysfunction.

“Have you seen how many 13-year-olds draw this kind of stuff in the bathroom stalls?” Hedlund shouted at the man.

He also posted video to YouTube showing children getting their pictures taken with the sign.

Hedlund explained on a video he posted to social media before he headed to RF&P Park that some people complained about his signs at previous protests and he told them, “What about you see in their books in the libraries where these kids go to school?”

“Henrico County is just as woke, let me tell you,” Hedlund explained on a video he later posted to social media. “They politicize and publicize and they put on a pedestal woke policies and such and transgenderism in Henrico schools. We’ll be targeting the school board here.”
