The Internet’s official “Daddy,” Pedro Pascal, has whipped fans into an even more excited frenzy after voicing support for the LGBTQ+ community in a recent Instagram post.

Pascal, who has a transgender sister, recently posted a series of photos depicting the Progress and Trans Pride flags, along with the caption, “The answer my friend is blowin’ in the wind,” a lyric from Bob Dylan’s civil rights anthem, “Blowin’ in the Wind.”

The post set off a firestorm debate as to whether Pascal was coming out, and if he wasn’t, whether he was queerbaiting. But for many fans, it was simply exciting to see their iconic “Daddy” of the moment expressing support for the LGBTQ+ community.

On Instagram, Pascal’s fellow celebrities applauded the post.

“Thanks handsome,” wrote trans actress Jamie Clayton.

Jonathan Van Ness, Gal Gadot, and Nina West posted heart and applause emojis, and Pascal’s gender-fluid Last of Us co-star Bella Ramsey commented, “Love Love Love.”

Others called him “the daddy of the people” and “a supportive king.”

Pascal is known for being incredibly supportive of his trans sister, Lux. “Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux,” Pascal wrote in a post to Instagram when she came out in 2021. The post shared a photo of Lux, who appeared on the cover of the Chilean magazine Revista Ya. Translated, his caption means, “my sister, my heart, our Lux.”

Citing her brother as a “guide,” Lux told the magazine that Pedro “was one of the first people to gift me the tools that started shaping my identity.”

When she came out to him via FaceTime, the first thing her older brother did was “asked me how I felt, because I remember he was a little worried.”

Then, he said, “perfect, this is incredible,” she recalled.
