Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is now claiming that there is a “trans mafia” that has teamed up with “Antifa” protestors.

“Antifa is attacking people who challenge the trans mafia,” she claimed on Twitter, linking a thread from far-right Daily Signal reporter Tim Kennedy. Kennedy claimed that he was “assaulted” by Antifa while attending an anti-transgender protest in Sacramento last Friday, sharing video that’s hard to discern.

“Within less than five minutes of arriving on the scene, a man, dressed head-to-toe in black clothing, wearing a baseball helmet, goggles and mask, lunged out from the crowd,” Kennedy wrote in an article on his site. “He hit me in the arm with what I assumed was a bat or some other blunt object.”

Kennedy did not say that he was injured during the alleged attack, nor does he say that the alleged attacker ever identified themself. But that didn’t stop Greene from filling in the blanks in this story.

“The trans mafia targets children to chop off their body parts and make permanent life-altering decisions before they are even considered adults,” Greene wrote. “Of course Antifa supports child abuse, would we expect anything different from the enforcers of the trans mafia?”

People mocked Greene’s detailed interpretation of the several seconds of video footage.

Conservative activists were holding a “De-transition Awareness Day” rally at the California Capitol on Friday, headlined by prominent anti-transgender activist Chloe Cole.

The protest also spurred pro-LGBTQ+ activists to counter-protest, waving signs that read “No more dead trans women.”

Major medical associations like the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, and the American Psychological Association support gender-affirming care.
