The classic board game Clue has been updated to reflect modern life and the LGBTQ+ community is here for it. After all, the iconic characters now resemble queer archetypes.

Honorifics have been chucked out the library window in favor of job titles, Mrs. White became Chef White, Mr. Green is now Mayor Green, and Mrs. Peacock is Solicitor Peacock. That’s how they say “lawyer” in the U.K., where they call the game “Cluedo.”

But as one sharp-eyed Twitter user pointed out, those characters could also be stereotypes for LGBTQ+ subgroups. According to her, we’re being introduced to “Prof. Plum, non-binary nepo baby; Sen. Verde, gay, Cuban/’Jewish,’ lied on his resume; Chef White, non-binary emotionally unavailable alcoholic; Ms. Peacock, trans, rich, secretly Republican; Miss Scarlet, lesbian, dominatrix, noise artists/DJ; Sir Mustard, sad leather daddy.”

Another Twitter user deadpanned, “‘What’s your sexuality?’ *Drops Clue on the table*”
