For the Christians out there struggling to understand and respect trans people, Jesus may offer some lessons.
I heard a story yesterday in which a babysitter wouldn’t use a trans kid’s name because it wasn’t “Christ-like,” which is horrifying but also very ironic. Christ wasn’t Jesus’ actual last name! It’s basically a stage name. It wasn’t like: “To Mr. and Mrs. Christ, a son Jesus.”
