J.K. Rowling promoted an online store that sells transphobic merchandise, including pins that say, “Transwomen are men.”
The Harry Potter author plugged a T-shirt to her over 14 million Twitter followers that said, “This witch doesn’t burn,” possibly a reference to how she has faced criticism for her constant anti-transgender remarks over the last several months.

In the tweet, she directed people to the online store that sells the T-shirt: the wild womyn workshop. She then replied to the same tweet to make sure that people got the link to that online store and told her followers to not support other stores, just this one store.

If you are (or know) a witch who wants one of these, don't buy from cynical chancers. I got my T-shirt from @Wild_Womyn #supportwomenrunbusinesses

The wild womyn workshop is a U.K.-based online store that bills itself as selling “a range of unique and beautifully designed items for radical womyn.” An entire section of the online store is labeled “Gender Critical,” a euphemism for transphobia.
Here are some of the items for sale at that store, which include pins that are direct attacks on transgender people, like this one that says, “Transwomen [sic] are men.”
“Woman is not a costume,” one pin says, implying that transgender women aren’t really women, they just wear women’s clothes.
While most of the merch attacks trans women, this one says “Transmen [sic] are my sisters.”
Many of the messages on the pins mention genitalia, since TERFs believe that genitalia defines one’s gender. This one says “Sorry about your dick bro.”
Although sometimes it’s chromosomes that define one’s gender, according to the website. This pin says “XX (female).”
This one says “F*ck your pronouns” to encourage people to misgender transgender people.
Some of the merchandise portrays cisgender women as the victims of transgender women, like this one that simply says, “Transactivism is misogyny.”
It is available alongside pins that say that a woman is, by definition, a person who has a certain set of reproductive organs.
Other pins attack the LGBTQ movement, saying that including transgender people in the LGBTQ somehow takes away from cisgender women.
There are pins that say that transitioning is a form of conversion therapy, implying that conversion therapy is bad.
And pins to support conversion therapy specifically for transgender people, implying that conversion therapy is good.
Other merchandise proudly claims words like “TERF” and “transphobe,” much like how racists, homophobes, and conservatives in 2016 proudly called themselves “deplorables” after Hillary Clinton called them that.
And, of course, the wild womyn workshop stands with J.K. Rowling.
