An event created by PrideFest Milwaukee and organized by a grass-roots collection of local motorcyclists is inviting riders of all stripes to their very first Ride with Pride motorcycle run on the 9th of June. They’ve also announced a very special sponsor: the Harley-Davidson Museum.

The event has cast a very broad net, reaching out to motorcycle clubs across the country.

“We’ve invited rider groups from as close as Castaways MC to the Green Bay Argonauts, from the Chicago Dykes On Bikes to as far as Los Angeles’ legendary Satyrs,” said Michail Takach, representing Milwaukee Pride. “We’re hoping they all surprise us with visiting riders.”

The event, kicking off from the Harley-Davidson Museum at 10:00 a.m., will travel throughout the city for several hours.

A pre-ride event will be held at the Harley-Davidson Museum two days before the ride, on Thursday June 7th from 5:00-9:00 p.m. This pre-party will include live music, and food and drink specials from the Museum’s restaurant Motor.

There is no fee to participate in Ride with Pride, and all riders will receive a free ticket to PrideFest.  No advanced registration is needed to ride, but riders are asked to check into their Facebook event. An accurate number of FaceBook check-ins will greatly help the organizers coordinate the ride and to provide the free tickets to PrideFest.”

“It’s a free and public event, so we’d love for everyone to come to the ride, even if you and your friends aren’t in a organized rider group,” said Takach.

You can learn more details about the event on the PrideFest Milwaukee website.
