Trump retweets a quote from Mussolini, founder of the Fascist party

Republican candidate Donald Trump has unwittingly retweeted a famous Mussolini quote, culled from a dummy account set up with well-known lines from the Italian dictator.

Instantly stirring up anger through various social media channels, the tweet read: “It is better to live one day as a lion than 100 years as a sheep.”

Trump was set up by news site Gawker, who created a fake account called ‘ilduce2016’, named after Mussolini’s dictatorship until ’43.

On Sunday, the site fessed up to being responsible for the Twitter acount “to see if @realDonaldTrump was dumb enough to re-tweet it.”

Well.
