Run the Jewels rapper Killer Mike took to Twitter on Friday to apologize for using gay slurs in the past:

“Yrs ago I like a dumb Hetero guy said ‘fag,'” he writes. “Today I no longer use that stupid word. I am sorry to all my gay brothers and sisters…Today I know better and I do better. My fans know this already but that’s for all who my not have witnessed my growth. Love & respect.”

As Mother Jones reports, the rapper “came under fire last week for relating the story of a woman who said women shouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton just because she has a uterus.”
