Gays are by driven by a ‘demonic spirit of lust’ to persecute Christians

It seems that lawmaker Gordon Klingenschmitt is really quite displeased by the decision of a Massachusetts court that ultimately found a Catholic school discriminated against a man by rescinding his job offer once it was discovered that he was a married gay man.

This week, on his “Pray In Jesus Name” program, he declared that the lawsuit is concrete evidence that homosexuals are possessed by a “demonic spirit of lust” brought to this Earthly plane to persecute good Christians.

According to the Colorado Republican lawmaker, the lawsuit demonstrates that “there is a demonic spirit here of persecution against the church.”

Gay people, he says, won’t settle for merely being ignored or left alone. No. They’re intent on “coming after the church.”

“They’re coming after us,” Klingenschmitt intoned. “They don’t care about the First Amendment. They don’t care about the Constitution. They just want power. And this is not about sexuality any more, it’s about power and that’s a demonic spirit of lust; not just lust for another man, but lust for power over the Christian people who yearn to breathe free.”
