Westboro tries to hurt a gay business — and winds up vastly improving sales

The notorious Westboro Baptist Church has inadvertently helped the gay-owned cosmetic company Z Skin Cosmetics.

The church has even been thanked by the gay CEO of Z Skin, Ryan Zamo, for helping to contribute to the bottom line.

Ryan angered Westboro by posing for a picture with his fiancé outside of the Equality House, directly across the street from Westboro’s headquarters.

Members of Westboro saw the picture online and shared it, and it soon became a trending topic on Instagram.

Zamo says the free publicity by church members have had a major impact on sales.

“It really didn’t bother me that much. We thought it was actually funny that it was becoming so popular, but neither my fiancé nor I are the types to retaliate, it wasn’t anything to be up in arms about,” the 26-year-old said.

“We actually sent them a package with some of our Z Skin Cosmetics anti-aging, acne and hair products, after all they did drive massive sales for our site, it’s the least we could do,” he added.
