“The whole world was shocked,” laments Jill Duggar, no doubt discussing brother Josh and revelations that he sexually molested five girls, including several of his sisters. “You’re angry and hurt and all those emotions are mixed together. I cry a lot of tears. I still do. I know I’m hurting.”
The above quote features prominently in the trailer for TLC’s series Jill & Jessa: Counting On, three specials that are scheduled to air in December. The reality show will star Jill Duggar, sister Jessa, and, we’re imagining, a dizzying amount of the Duggars’ extended and ever-extending family.
In the last year alone, it was discovered that Josh Duggar owned two Ashley Madison accounts, admitted he suffers a debilitating “addiction” to porn, had a string of adulterous affairs, took part in myriad libidinous exploits with a gaggle of strippers, and had sex with several underage girls, many of whom were family members — all while being the head of the anti-gay hate group Family Research Council Action.
The series dutifully follows the two sisters as they presumably try picking up the pieces in the wake of Josh’s very public implosion.
