The Jackson Heights Post reports that anti-gay fliers were being distributed throughout the Queens neighborhood, tucked into car windows near 82nd Street and 34th Avenue and even pushed under apartment doors in various buildings throughout the area.
Written in English and Spanish, these fliers quote Romans 1:18-32, which reads in part:
“Men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error… deserve to die.”
Though an investigation is ongoing, councilman Daniel Dromm points out there’s not too much that can be done legally; the biggest offense the flier distributors could face is a littering ticket.
