In an interview Saturday with the Christian Broadcasting Network‘s David Brody, likely GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush said he didn’t believe same-sex marriage is a right protected by the U.S. constitution, and that business owners should be able to refuse services to gays based on their religious beliefs.
“We need to be stalwart supporters of traditional marriage,” says Bush. “We have to restore committed, loving family life with a mom and dad loving their children with their heart and soul.”
On religious freedoms, Bush says businesses should be able to refuse service to same-sex couples “if it’s based on a religious belief.”
