HOUSTON — A vehicle that had been sought in connection with the murder of a lesbian couple in South Texas last month has been recovered, according to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.

The stolen 2006 Kia Sorento, said to be connected to the murders of Britney Cosby and Crystal Jackson, was recovered from a vehicle storage lot Thursday in Houston, and police hope the discovery will lead to new clues in solving the case.

The vehicle, owned by Britney Cosby, had been missing since she and Jackson were found dead on March 7 behind the dumpster of a convenience store in Port Bolivar, Texas.

Cosby died from blows to the head and Jackson died from a gunshot.

Cosby’s father, James Larry Cosby, was arrested in mid-March and charged with two counts of tampering with evidence in the womens’ deaths. He remains in the Galveston County jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.

The vehicle is currently being processed for evidence.
