Mass. gubernatorial forum to focus on LGBT issues

BOSTON — Candidates for governor in Massachusetts will participate in a forum to discuss issues related to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and progressive policies.

MassEquality and public broadcaster WGBH are hosting the forum on March 25 at the Boston Public Library.

All 10 candidates were invited, but seven are able to attend the event. They include state Attorney General Martha Coakley, Treasurer Steven Grossman, Juliette Kayyem, Scott Lively, Evan Falchuk, Don Berwick and Joe Avellone.

Peter Kadzis, senior editor for WGBHNews.org, will be moderator for the forum and question the candidates.

MassEquality and WGBH will present a mix of questions. Audience members will have the opportunity to submit questions to the candidates online. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
