Christian Broadcasting Network chairman and founder, televangelist Pat Robertson, surprised many on Sunday with his response to a viewer who asked if he should recognize as female two co-workers who are apparently transgender.
“I don’t understand all that, but I think they are men who are in a woman’s body. It’s very rare, but it’s true,” responded Robertson.
“I don’t think there’s any sin associated with that. I don’t condemn anybody for doing that.”

Robertson more commonly sparks anger within the LGBT community for his frequent, anti-gay rhetoric.
Earlier this month, Robertson said he vomits at the sight of gay couples, and that gays and lesbians are just “confused” straight people.
