Screaming youngster tells gay friendly church they are going to hell, gays are worthy of death

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — In a scene reminiscent of a Westboro (“God hates fags”) protest, parishioners at a gay friendly Methodist church in Winston-Salem, N.C., were the target of a wailing youngster and his faceless, off-camera adult coach, who screamed at them as they left Easter services to tell them they were going to hell and that gays are worthy of death.

“The Bible talks about the homosexuals — they’re worthy of death,” the boy proclaimed outside the Green Street United Methodist Church, in video footage first posted at GoodAsYou.org. “They’re worthy of death, and you people approve of them! That’s why you’re going to Hell without Jesus Christ. You can turn from your sin!”

Watch:

The unidentified youngster — or, more likely his camera shy parents — targeted the gay-welcoming church over a recent announcement that it would no longer perform marriages for heterosexual couples until United Methodist pastors are allowed to officiate at marriages for same-sex couples.

Update: The youngster has been identified as Nolan Cranford, son of Brian “BibleBrian” Cranford. The website Official Street Preacher Blogspot gives insight into the Cranford family.
