Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka sat down with Oprah Winfrey last night on OWN’s Next Chapter series, and opened up about what life has been like since they had twins Gideon and Harper.
Oprah kicks thing off by asking when they knew they were gay, and if they’ve ever had relationships (meaning sex) with women. Both guys are honest and direct, but I don’t recall her ever asking a straight actor if he’s had relationships with men.
Next up, the guys discuss how they’re going to tell their kids about the “unique and weirdly scientific” way they were conceived, and Oprah has an “A-Ha” moment.

We then get a tour of the nursery, with an actual teepee and his and her closets. And we find out who is Daddy and who is Papa. But my favorite part is when David reaches out behind Oprah’s back to make sure a book stays in its proper place. I have a feeling David like things … just so.
Finally, Oprah meets Gideon and Harper. David’s “Really!” at the end is as adorable as those tots.
