Fischer warns of ‘homosexual agenda,’ gays a threat to public health

WASHINGTON — Speaking at the the Values Voter Summit on Saturday, the vehemently anti-gay Bryan Fischer, spokesman for the American Family Association, warned of the “threat” of “the homosexual agenda,” said the nation must choose “between homosexuality and liberty, because we cannot have both,” and said gays are a threat to public health.

“We need a president who understands that every advance of the homosexual agenda comes at the expense of religious liberty. We need a president who understands that we must choose as a nation between homosexuality and liberty, because we cannot have both,” Fisher said.

Fischer also said the U.S. needs a president who will treat homosexuality as a threat to public health.

“Homosexual behavior represents the same threat to human health that injection drug use does. I believe we need a president who understands that neither homosexual behavior nor injection drug use represent lifestyles that any responsible government ought to normalize, legitimize, legalize, protect, sanction, or subsidize,” he said.
