Family Research Council is to blame for near massacre at its headquarters

Thursday, February 7, 2013
Someone has to sit Tony Perkins down and school him on the truth. I am very certain that Perkins is already aware of this truth, but he needs to be told publicly so that everyone else can know. The Southern Poverty Law Center is not responsible for Floyd Corkins’ near massacre at FRC headquarters last year. If Perkins wants to blame someone, he should look to himself and his organization. A gay dad reflects on the terrorism in Newtown, Connecticut

Tuesday, December 18, 2012

I wish to my soul that I could spare them the pain they feel, I wish it more than any other thing this Christmas, and take little solace in the fact that I get to hug my boys and take them in my arms still. Inexplicable Evil

Sunday, December 16, 2012
Unspeakable tragedy, horrific crime, inexplicable -- all words that inadequately describe the evil that was visited on a small New England town and its most vulnerable citizens Friday, its children. ... My heart breaks for those families, who at what now should be a season of joy for them, have been forever marred by the violence visited upon them. [ Read more → ]

Tragedy strikes Texas: My trip to a vigil for a lesbian couple

Tuesday, July 3, 2012
Violet Andrews Park is the type of serene refuge that people visit to get over the death of a loved one, not the type of place where people are brutally murdered. Surely, a violent encounter was the last thing on the minds of Olgin and Chapa when they went to the park on June 22 to waste time before a movie. What happened next is still a mystery. But we do know that the couple was led into a mud-soaked, grassy trail where both girls were shot in the head with a high caliber pistol. [ Read more → ]
