Saudi man gets 3 years in prison, 450 lashes for meeting men via Twitter

MEDINA, Saudi Arabia – A criminal court in Saudi Arabia has sentenced a 24-year-old man to three years in jail and 450 lashes for trying to arrange a date with another man via Twitter. According to the daily Aarabic newspaper Al-Watan, the court found the unidentified man guilty of “promoting the vice and practice of homosexuality.”

Calling yourself a Christian does not give you special privileges in this country. Calling yourself a Christian does not make you a better American than me. And calling yourself a Christian does not absolve you from rights and responsibilities that all Americans have. This is not, nor has it ever been, a Christian nation, and the rest of us who don’t practice your beliefs do not exist here for your will and pleasure.

On Friday’s radio program, Bryan Fischer said that the American Family Association is thinking about issuing an “action alert” about it out of concern that “if this isn’t bottled up in San Francisco, this kind of nonsense..."

Italian mayor wants to ban public kissing between same-sex couples

The mayor of the town of Borgosesia in northern Italy, says he wants to ban public displays of affection between members of the same-sex. Gianluca Buonanno, a member of the Italian parliament for the right-wing Northern League party, has proposed that same-sex couples who kiss in public be fined 500 Euros (about $680 USD).

Hate group asks members to reject mail bearing Harvey Milk stamp

The rabidly anti-gay hate group, the American Family Association, is protesting the recent release of the Harvey Milk postage stamp by encouraging its members to refuse to accept any mail bearing the stamp. “Honoring predator Harvey Milk on a U.S. postage stamp is disturbing to say the least,” said AFA President Tim Wildmon.
