New Marvel game lets you play as gay superheroes

Marvel’s new video game Lego Marvel’s Avengers lets players play canonical gay superheroes; a first in the history of gaming.

For those who don’t know, Wiccan and Hulking are a much-loved gay couple in the Marvel Universe, and core members of the Young Avengers.

They’re now two of hundreds of unlockable characters in the game. Players can discover them huddled together in a cave as part of an open-world Manhattan.

The characters feature among hundreds of unlockable Marvel heroes in the new game – in which they can be discovered together in a cave as part of the open world Manhattan area.

And while it’s not abundantly clear during gameplay that these two are an item, any gay comic book aficionados out there should be pleased.
