Best Buy releases ‘It Gets Better’ video

RICHFIELD, Minn. — Best Buy, the nation’s largest consumer electronics retailer, has released its contribution to the “It Gets Better” campaign, an emotional video featuring 18 Best Buy employees from around the U.S. who share their personal journeys on how life has gotten better for them.

Says Best Buy: “The goal of the video is to show teens or other young people who may have been bullied or stereotyped based on their actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity/expression, how incredibly valuable their lives are. Ideally, this message will help assure them that the future holds so much more for them.”

Bets Buy added that while the video contains explicit language that may be offensive to some people, it was included to accurately reflect the real stories told by the employees featured in the video.
