Actress Cynthia Nixon (“Sex and the City”) and longtime girlfriend Christine Marinoni married Sunday in New York City.
Nixon, 46, and Marinoni, an education activist, 45, have been together since 2004, and had been engaged for three years.
The couple waited to marry until it was legal in New York state, which happened last summer, reported People magazine.
“I’m enjoying being engaged very much,” Nixon said in 2010. “I don’t mind a long engagement, which this one is surely turning out to be.”
In February 2011, Marinoni gave birth to the couple’s son, Max Ellington Nixon-Marinoni.
