An estimated 2,000 participants rallied in the Bronx on Sunday to call for the preservation of traditional marriage.

The hate rally was organized by the National Organization for Marriage and anti-gay New York state Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr., a Pentecostal minister who adamantly opposes efforts to legalize same-sex marriage.

Diaz and NOM President Brian Brown, who arrived arm-in-arm with Diaz, addressed the crowd of about 2,000 — Diaz’ previous anti-gay marriage rally in 2009 attracted an estimated 20,000 attendees.

Here’s a brief clip of an incoherent Diaz calling for the “glory” of something — God I presume…

Meanwhile, in Manhattan, gay marriage supporters gathered along the sidelines of the Annual AIDS Walk in Central Park with a cardboard cut-out depicting Diaz as a drag queen.

  6. Diaz should resign or be recalled as he is not representing his LGBT constituents’s rights according to the requirements of his office. When you take office the oath doesn’t include denying people access to equal protection.
