The actor didn’t take kindly to writer Brock Colyar addressing criticisms of their “And Just Like That…” character.

I’s not the first time a gay man has played a surgeon on Grey’s Anatomy, but it is the first time a gay male character will be depicted in the drama in a contract role.

Ramirez, who is bisexual in real life and on screen as surgeon Callie Torres, said of ABC: “I will invest my brand where I’m respected.”
