While there is still an internal review of recruitment policy under way in the Defense Department, the Pentagon made clear that trans people can walk in and start enlisting whenever they’re ready.

On his way out the door, Trump is packing presidential commissions and boards with anti-LGBTQ politicians and conspiracy theorists, sanctifying their bad behavior.

They say Pentagon officials deliberately lied to Congress about the ability of trans service members to perform their duties – and they have the Department of Defense’s own data to back them up.
