New York City Pride parade

While many of the events were virtual, it didn’t stop New Yorkers from flooding the streets to march, protest, dance, and spread their beautiful queer joy.

“Pride Month is a celebration of our progress, our journey. It’s an affirmation of our equality and humanity.”

Heritage of Pride members voted to allow LGBTQ cops to march in the parade armed and in uniform. Hours later, the Executive Board voted to overturn the decision and ban them again.
