Discrimination lawsuit filed against Calif. school on behalf of lesbian teacher
Lambda Legal has filed a lawsuit in California Superior Court claiming the Hesperia Unified School District and administrators at Sultana High School violated state law by not renewing the contract of an openly lesbian teacher in retaliation for her support of LGBT students who had alleged they were being harassed and discrimination against.

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — A Southern California school district said Thursday that it will implement policies supporting LGBT students after the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) demanded officials step take action to end discrimination against LGBT students by teachers and administrators.
