LGBTQ+ memoirs are a great way to step into someone else’s shoes and see the world in a new, queer way!

They claim that the American Library Association is “pushing for books that sexualize and groom children.”

LGBTQ+ titles topped the number of book bans in the past year, but a growing number of grassroots organizations are rewriting the story.

The passages focused on a strap-on sex toy, oral sex, and incest. But a Democratic senator said the passages are missing the point.

Seven of the top 13 most challenged books of 2022 contained LGBTQ+ themes and/or characters.

“It used to be a parent had learned about a given book and had an issue with it. Now we see campaigns.”

We were inspired by these five outstanding LGBTQ heroes this past year. Who inspired you the most?

“I hope that if the library sees this there will really be no point in banning LGBTQ books and so they won’t actually do it.”

Three authors recently targeted by the religious right and Republicans spoke with LGBTQ Nation about being at the center of controversy.

“This just isn’t any old book banning, [the district] targeted and removed books that are from the perspective and viewpoint of racial or sexual minorities.”
