Same-sex marriage violates his religious freedom because he believes that “homosexual conduct of any sort is immoral and contrary to Holy Scripture.” Texas Governor Ken Paxton is on his side.

She says homosexuality offends God, “so I’m entitled to accommodations.” The state says they doubt she can be impartial.

The Texas judge said her “sincerely held religious belief as a Christian” should have granted her “an accommodation.” The state disagreed.
