My gay friend Joseph carried me on his shoulders for at least twenty blocks.

“As we celebrate Pride this photo reminds me of who I am and who I come from.”

It’s humiliating to think you’d have to pay money to adopt your own child. Another reminder that you, as an LGBT person are not equal in the eyes of the law.

Next to me is the Reverend Jennifer Phillips, who marched in her clerical clothes. I remember people on the sidelines running up to her in tears, hugging her and thanking her for her support.

I lost my wife April 1 of 2021. The Las Vegas Pride was the first time she and I had ever marched in a pride parade. This photo to me represents the change we were fighting so hard to get.

“Riding in a 1938 Buick Limited Convertible was just the icing PLUS a cherry!”

“It was one of the most meaningful days in our 35 years together.”

We’ve both had a lot of troubles, but coming together in 2018 marked the beginning of change for us.

“It’s tremendously gratifying to be able to speak to the medical professionals and the clinic personnel, but particularly to the youth and their families.”

Too many LGBTQ+ individuals live in fear of rejection, ridicule, or fear for their own safety at home. I’ve seen PFLAG change that for so many.

Since the Pride parade was cancelled, I wanted to show my rainbow colors.

We went to protest Trump! 

“I was totally in tears to see this show of support to the LGBTQ community, put together with such loving care. I knew then that in the end we were going to be ok.”

“It was so lovely to bump into them and be swept up in the excitement of the day!”

We decided to quarantine, get tested, then go to Provincetown together. Since we missed Pride, we made shirts, each with a different color of the rainbow.

“Pride Month is a celebration of our progress, our journey. It’s an affirmation of our equality and humanity.”

“On that day the crowd could see that I was a proud mom who loved her four gay kids.”

It’s one thing to be in a parade, but to see so many diverse people waving and cheering as you go by fills me with so much Pride and hope!

An organization for at-risk youth shows support for LGBTQ young people in need.

After gaining asylum, this person is now a citizen and has a husband and an amazing future ahead of him. He is one of my pride and joys!
