Democrats came out swinging on Friday during a House subcommittee hearing on the Department of Justice announcement that it would curtail its defense of the federal ban on recognition of same-sex marriages.

ENDA and gay immigration rights bills reintroduced in U.S. Congress
The Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) was re-introduced in the U.S. Senate on Wednesday, and on Thursday a bill to help bi-national LGBT couples was also re-intorduced. This brings the total 15 the number of pro-LGBT bills introduced to the House and Senate in the 112th Congress.

Pentagon says certification on ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ likely mid-summer
