Fox host says Tim Walz isn’t masculine because he had a milkshake with a straw

Fox host Jesse Watters is back to attacking Democratic men’s masculinity for not meeting his exacting standards, and this time it’s vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz‘s use of a straw.

“Women love masculinity, and women do not love Tim Walz, so that should just tell you about how masculine Tim Walz is,” Watters proclaimed incorrectly. According to a recent AP-NORC poll, 37% of women have a favorable opinion of Walz, while only 19% have an unfavorable opinion. The GOP vice presidential nominee – Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) – is viewed much less favorably by women: 25% viewed him favorably, while a whopping 42% had an unfavorable view of him.

The “funny” primetime host fixated on how Walz hugged Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff at a recent rally.

But that didn’t stop Watters from positing his theory about why women don’t like Walz: he used a straw.

“The other day you saw him with a vanilla ice cream shake. Had a straw in it. Again, that tells you everything,” Watters said.

Watters has been fixated on men using straws and eating ice cream for a while. Last November, he said that President Joe Biden isn’t manly because he drank a milkshake with a straw.

“Some things we just can’t let slide,” Watters said at the time. “Joe Biden used a straw.”

“I recommend that all men refrain from using straws,” he continued. “It’s unbecoming, the way a man’s lips purse, the size of the straws is too dainty, the way your fingers clasp on it, no, come on.”

In February, Watters attacked Biden for eating ice cream, saying it’s “just not a good look.”

“You should save that for vacation. A grown man – especially the president – should not be licking ice cream in public.”

“If I were Biden and… my party wanted to put me out to pasture and swap me out for a younger, better-looking liberal, the Mideast and Europe are at war, and migrants are murdering our women, the last thing I would do? Go out for ice cream with a comedian and lick it when they ask about the border,” Watters continued.

On X, people made fun of Watters for being so fixated on Walz’s ice cream shake consumption.
