Nicky Doll, a former RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant and the host of Drag Race France, announced that she is suing right-wing pundit Laurence Fox for defamation after he referred to her as a “pedo.”
“I will never again allow myself and other queer people to be defamed and demonized. If responding with love doesn’t work for some, then responding with justice should work. See you in court,” Doll, whose government name is Karl Sanchez, said in a post on X.

“Conservatives have no choice but to accept people who are more colorful and more diverse.”
The alleged defamation occurred after the Olympics began, in which the opening ceremony contained a parody of the Feast of Dionysus. However, many conservatives interpreted it as a parody of The Last Supper, including Laurence Fox, who said on X, “No point in getting wound up when the child fuckers want to wind you up. Just laugh at the deviant little pedos. Eternity is a bitch.”

There is no evidence that Doll or any of the performers during the ceremony are pedophiles.
Represented by Anne-Sophie Laurens, the letter describes how Doll has been receiving a flood of hate and vitriol following these statements, including death threats.
“These messages go far beyond artistic criticism, and, for some, convey hateful and defamatory conflations, equating drag performances and pedophilia. These comparisons are serious and unacceptable. It is in this sense that justice has been taken, and that any publication or message equating Nicky Doll’s performance with encouragement of pedophile practices will be reported,” Laurens wrote.
The lawsuit was initially announced in a separate post on X, where Doll wrote, “Lawyer on the line, see you in court” in reply to Fox’s post.
She then continued and said, “Since you didn’t learn the first time around when you called my friend @crystalwillseeu a pedo, I’m going to show you that you don’t get to write things like that about queer people for the fun and the misinformation of it and go away with it. See you in court, again, @LozzaFox!”
Fox is a far-right politician and pundit of GB News in the United Kingdom with a history of attacking queer people. He previously lost a defamation suit in which he called a separate drag performer a pedophile without any evidence.
