Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has made numerous false and downright bizarre statements about LGBTQ+ people in the past – including that Spongebob Squarepants might come out and that gay men try to “chestfeed” their children – but she managed to get something right earlier this week.

“The Left wants kids to be able to identify as anything they want… except conservative,” she said.

Boebert has long criticized the idea of letting kids be who they are, especially when it comes to LGBTQ+ kids and teens… and even some adults – she once said that it’s not “unreasonable to require people” to be 21 before they can come out.

She has even bought into the myth that schools are putting out litter boxes for kids “who identify as cats.”

But now, a lot of people are agreeing with her.
