Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) got mocked by one of her colleagues because she couldn’t spell Mickey Mouse’s name.

“Next year, the woke Disney lobbyists will ask Congress to extend Micky [sic] Mouse’s trademark,” Boebert tweeted yesterday. “I think not.”

Boebert was referring to how Disney released a statement opposing Florida’s Don’t Say Gay law (after it had already passed the state’s legislature, but still an insult to supporters of the law). She and other conservatives have been calling for the government to crack down on Disney to punish the corporation for its opposition to a law they like.

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) pointed out a spelling error in Boebert’s tweet.

“M-I-C-K-E-Y,” he tweeted. “There’s literally a song that taught millions of us how to spell it. If these losers weren’t dumb we’d be screwed.”

This isn’t the first time that Swalwell has clapped back at Boebert. Last year, Boebert said that “the Taliban are the only people building back better,” words that many took to be praise of Taliban.

“Makes sense,” Swalwell replied. “You tried to overthrow the US government so of course, you support the overthrow of the Afghan government.”
