Senator Ted Cruz’s own daughter says she disagrees with “most of his views”

Caroline Cruz, the 13-year-old daughter of Republican Senator Ted Cruz, has said in a recent TikTok, “I really disagree with most of his views.”

That’s a relief considering that he’s very anti-LGBTQ, enjoys vacationing in Cancun while his constituents freeze to death and once picked a fight with Sesame Street‘s Big Bird for suggesting that kids should get vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to not kill old people.

In a recent TikTok video, Caroline Cruz discussed the pros and cons of being a senator’s daughter. She said she likes the travel perks and the candies and gifts that her dad’s supporters send to their home. However, she dislikes having two security guards following her around literally everywhere she goes.

Also, she added, “A lot of people judge me based upon him at first glance, but I really disagree with most of his views.”

She didn’t elaborate on which of his views she disagreed with. But she mentioned that for her father’s most recent Christmas card, featuring his entire family, they elongated her crop top sweater so it wouldn’t show off her mid-section.

One Twitter commenter pointed out that Caroline Cruz looked pretty miserable on the card.

Texas Monthly magazine recently named Cruz as the first runner-up for its annual Bum Steer Award for “worst Texan.” He received the dubious honor after he fled Texas for sunny Cancun during winter storms that knocked out power across the state, killing hundreds.

Cruz defended his trip by saying that he only went to accompany his daughters, effectively throwing them under the bus. Despite bringing a rolling case with him to the airport, the senator claimed he had only planned to drop them off and return the next day. Sure, Ted.

Texas Monthly magazine also mocked him for fighting Sesame Street‘s Big Bird after the big yellow muppet appeared in a PSA encouraging kids to get vaccinated. Children who don’t get vaccinated run the risk of possibly infecting older and immunocompromised adults who are at greater risk of becoming seriously ill and dying from COVID-19.

Cruz is also anti-LGBTQ. He has mocked other Republicans for marching in Pride parades, has said that LGBTQ rights threaten religious liberties (which he vowed to defend), and he has also suggested that people should defy the 2015 Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage. It’s no wonder his own daughter can’t stand him.

Caroline Cruz also disgustedly flinched from his hug while out on the 2016 presidential campaign trail with her dear old dad. Seems like the young woman has some excellent taste.
